Storage

A great place to store your sterling silver jewelry is in a jewelry box, separated from other pieces to prevent scratching of the metal or any stones. If you are unable to keep them separated, do not mix different types of metals or types of stones. The harder stones will scratch the softer stones.

Cleaning

Cleaning your jewelry is very important to the maintenance of your piece. When it begins to get dirty, fill a bowl with a drop of mild soap (Dawn dish soap will do fine) and warm water. Allow the piece to soak for a few minutes, and then use a clean soft toothbrush to gently brush away any dirt.

Ultrasonic cleaners with ammonia-free solutions will be fine for any all metal pieces. If you have a piece with stones or other materials, please contact me via any method from my contact page.

polishing

Polishing for most pieces can be done with the polishing cloth included in the care instructions booklet, or you can purchase a larger cloth at most hobby or grocery stores, or online: Rio Grande: Polishing Cloth

If you are unable to purchase a cedar box, keep it in a box with
